  • What is self storage and how does it work?

    Self storage gives you a private, secure unit to keep belongings you don't have room for at home or at your business. You rent month-to-month, keep your own key or code, and access your unit whenever you need it. Both of our Baker locations offer clean, secure, affordable storage.

  • How much does self storage cost?

    Rates depend on the unit size and type (drive-up, climate-controlled, or parking). You can see current pricing and rent online any time on our locations page, or contact us and we'll help you find the right fit.

  • Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?

    Liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials, and perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.

  • What is the best way to pack a unit?

    Larger and more infrequently used items should go in the back of the unit. Remember to keep a walkway in the center of your unit to more easily access items. Always keep items labeled and a list of items stored, even a photo on the outside of each box will allow you to "see" what's inside.

  • How do I move out?

    Please ensure your unit is completely emptied out and swept. Call or visit the office to confirm your move-out.

  • What are some helpful tips for moving into my unit?

  • What are your access hours?

    You can access your unit every day from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM at both locations, using your personal keypad code or the Storage Genie app. No appointment needed.

  • How secure are your facilities?

    Both locations are fully fenced with coded gate access, monitored by HD security cameras, and well-lit throughout. A friendly on-site manager is present during office hours as an extra layer of security.

  • Do you have climate-controlled units?

    Yes, climate-controlled units are available at our Plank Road (Ship-N-Store) location. They hold a steady temperature year-round to protect furniture, electronics, documents, and other items sensitive to Louisiana heat and humidity.

  • Can I store a boat or RV?

    Yes. Open boat & RV parking is available at our Plank Road location in a clean, fully fenced lot. Baker Boulevard Storage is drive-up self storage only.

  • Can I rent and pay online?

    Absolutely. You can browse units, rent, and set up automatic payments entirely online in just a few minutes. You can also pay in person during office hours.

  • Is there a long-term contract?

    No. All units are month-to-month, so you only pay for the time you need, with no penalty for moving out early.
